Franco-Indian Workshop on Global Health
Franco-Indian Campus in Life Sciences for Health
The Franco-Indian Campus in Life Sciences for Health is a high-impact bilateral initiative between France and India, launched by the French government in 2022. Serving as a flagship of scientific and academic collaboration, the Campus unites 22 of the leading higher education and research institutions from both countries, alongside more than 60 internationally renowned research laboratories.
As part of this initiative, BIOSANTEXC and IN-HEALTH projects are co-organizing a forum at ENS PSL on 8 December 2025, followed by sessions at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital on 9 December. Key topics will include global health and climate change, access to care, and nutrition, mental health lifestyles and ethics. The event will feature keynote speakers and faculty talks from partners of the Franco-Indian Campus, providing unique opportunities for knowledge exchange and networking.
Structured around four interconnected consortia, the campus brings together scientists and academics to tackle critical challenges in life sciences and health. The four projects include:
- BIOSANTEXC, composed by the four Ecole Normale Supérieure and six Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), as well as the NCCS, the NCBS and the TISS.
- IN-HEALTH, composed by Sorbonne Université and the Indian Institute of Technology of Delhi,
- ILIADE, composed by the Universités de la Réunion, de Lyon, de Poitiers, and the Vellore Institute of Technology, as well as the JIPMER and the CIMAP.
- SHIELD, composed by the Université Côte d’Azur, Ashoka University, the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, and the IIIT Delhi.
