Friends’ Support for the ENS International Capital Campaign
The Friends endorse the ENS international capital campaign. This runs through 2022 and looks for support to businesses, individuals (alumni and others) and foundations, in Europe and in the US.
The three main campaign objectives are:
1.Funding Research and training in four cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary themes.
Designed to bolster and develop research and education at ENS, these themes are linked to the great scientific questions and societal issues of today and tomorrow:
- AI and Data Science,
- Quantitative Biology,
- Globalization,
- Climate Change & Earth
2.Encouraging a strategy of growth, openness and student profiles inclusiveness
With an ambitious program of scholarships to attract international students and support the ones who need funding during their studies.
3.Renovate and preserve the ENS Heritage
École normale supérieure has several renovation projects for its historical buildings at rue d'Ulm, and is constructing a building to house its new quantitative biology department. ENS’s famous library needs renovation and funds to purchase new collections and restore an irreplaceable collection of ancient books.
